This blog has moved!

Well that was fun. I just signed up for a free wordpress account and boldly started going where I had never gone before, madly customizing my theme and inserting my first photo when I saw that I had just used 920kb of my free 3gb of space. Doh! I should have installed this on my own server!! After all, these photos are going to take up space after awhile I dont want to have to pay for space or try to move my blog later. Better get it right the first time.

Of course when I set it up on my own server, the same theme wasn’t available. So I had to search around the web-o-sphere to find a copy of it and install it myself. And then the tool to easily customize the header wasn’t available so I had to figure that out and replace the image myself via ftp. Good thing I know how to do that stuff due to my day job.

So now, I hope, I am ready.

I think I’m finally ready. My new blog is dedicated to all things artistic that interest me: primarily photography, image making, popular culture, and the combination of those things that can result in unique creative images. My goal in creating this is to build and encourage happiness. I have found that looking at the world through the lens in a quest to make beautiful images has forced me to see the good in the world – and it makes me a happier person.

I plan on sharing with everyone who is interested the techniques I use to create my images. Enjoy! And leave a comment, it would be nice to know if there is anyone out there.

Today, I leave you with this thought: nothing is strictly off limits! Sometimes we have barriers in our heads that prevent us from doing things, like, say, taking photos in a public bathroom!
